Access and Key Control

• Don’t allow strangers on your premises or in your house unless you have properly identified them, especially at night
• Ensure proper key control
• Identify house keys and keep in safe places not visible when not in use
• Keys to safes should be kept on person
• Don’t use the traditional places like door mats and pot plants to hide keys
• If a key is left in the keyhole, turn to avoid easy removal
• Don’t allow strangers to handle your keys as numbers could be read off them
• If you loose any keys change the locks
• Remove keys from doors when leaving or turn them in keyhole
